bareMinerals BEautiful in Pearls 10-piece Collection: A Review

I am so excited to be doing my first review on this amazing set! I am totally in love with it. BE teamed up with Honora on this one. There are real cultured pearls crushed into the eye shadows, blush, and mineral veil. How cool is that?! It gives the most gorgeous look to these colors. It was the "Today's Special Value" on November 7. On that day, it was also available as an Auto-Delivery option, which means a new set with different eye shadows, blush, and brushed will be sent every few months! Of course, I signed up. The new shipments are set for February, June, and September 2010. Here is what's in the kit: (Available at QVC, item # A92182)

Blissful Pearl Eye Color
Magnificent Pearl Eye Color
Big & Bright Mineral Eyeliner Pencil (intense black)
Flawless Definition Mascara (black)
Precious Pearl Blush
Brightening Pearl Mineral Veil
100% Natural lip gloss in Sugared Strawberry
Precision Eye Defining brush
Tapered Blush Brush
Flawless Application Brush

I can't get over how much I love this kit! Blissful Pearl has become my favorite eye shadow. It's just such a gorgeous color. Magnificent Pearl is great as a liner, and you can really go fr a more smoky look with this, or just use it lightly in the crease to define it. The eye liner pencil goes on very smoothly. I love lining my upper water-line with it (aka "tight-line'). It has a built-in smudger that is really firm; it works great to create a softer line. Leslie's tip is to dip the smudger end into Magnificent Pearl and go over the liner with it. The Flawless Definition mascara is fairly new. It quickly became my favorite mascara! It really lengthens and defines every lash. It has a really unique brush and it does not clump at all. Truly a fabulous mascara! The Brightening Pearl Mineral Veil is a total winner! The stuff gives your face such a gorgeous glow. It's not shimmery at all. It really just looks like you're glowing from within. The Sugared Strawberry lip gloss is a really pretty shade; it's a really nice pink that's soft and pulls the whole look together. The 3 brushes that are included are fabulous as well; they have a pearly white handle and white bristles that look so luxurious! The eye brush is somewhat firm and really gets the color on nicely. The blush brush gets the perfect amount of blush on your cheeks. It may look a little small, but it's perfect! The face brush is so soft and is just perfect for the Brightening Pearl Mineral Veil.

This kit is definitely on the top of my "favorites" list of all the holiday collections that have come out this season, without a doubt a real winner.

I you liked this review, please stay tuned for more of my review on bareMinerals items. I have lots of the new items to review.

  1. thanks for this review! now I want it! :D
can you tell me more about the blush? is it a true pink, or does it lean coral? does it give you a sheen? I'm worried about looking alien/j.lo ish!

  3. Jennifer,
The blush is definitely matte; no sheen or shimmer at all. I would describe the shade as a rosy pink berry color, not coral. I remember Leslie saying that they don't do shades like it very often. I really like it a lot.

I hope this helped you a little!
